The Belfort Group Names Don Martelli President and Partner

The venerable Public Affairs, Integrated marketing and Public Relations Agency Appoints its Third President in its 41-year History

BOSTON, MA, November 9, 2020 – The Belfort Group (BG), Inc. an affiliate of The Belfort Group Holding (BGHC) Company, Inc.A Boston-based firm has appointed Don Martelli as its president and partner, according to its Chief Executive officer, Philip Pennellatore.

Mr. Martelli joined the firm in 2012 as the Director of Digital Integration and was instrumental in helping BG evolve from a traditional PR firm to a digital marketing and integrated marketing firm. Since then, he has held roles as Vice President, Senior Vice President and most recently, Chief Operating Officer. Under Martelli’s leadership, the firm saw unprecedented growth in 2018 and 2019, overseeing the addition of over 100 new brands in just two years.

“Don has established himself as a true leader over the last eight years and has been instrumental in driving the agency forward in every aspect of the business,” said Phil Pennellatore, CEO.  “Don’s ability to not only seamlessly adapt to the changes in our industry but also our client’s, is impressive. I could not be prouder to have someone like Don help me lead BG for the next several decades.”

Prior to joining BG, Don worked at several Boston-based PR and digital marketing agencies including Morrissey & Company and the MSL Group. His responsibilities within each role straddled between traditional public relations and digital marketing, with a keen focus on directly impacting client revenue.

A graduate of Northeastern University, Don started his career as a metro reporter for the Boston Globe during the 1990s and supported the paper’s first entre into digital media.
