The MIT Sloan admissions team partnered with Belfort Group (BG) to increase engagement with prospective students in social media channels with a focus on Twitter.
BG captured the student experience through social media and video, encouraged admitted students to attend virtual information sessions and AdMIT weekends, and helped boost global enrollment for MIT Sloan School of Management. BG promoted AdMIT content for admissions events through videos and student ambassadors, conducted Twitter chats about the MIT Sloan student experience, and leveraged video content and social media posts in email newsletters.
Throughout the social media campaign, MIT Sloan interacted with 1.3K Twitter users and reached a total of 13.4K users. During year one, the Twitter account gained 1,357 followers and received 24,087 link clicks on shared content. The #NonprofitImpact Twitter Chat alone generated 551 posts by 85 users, reached 812,283 users, and resulted in 7,364,151 impressions.
