The Opportunity
The New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE) is the leading accreditor for colleges and universities in the New England region. NECHE sought strategic branding and a refreshed digital presence, including a new website and membership marketing materials, to re-establish awareness and reinforce its authority as the region’s accrediting body. The project aimed to position NECHE not only as a trusted reviewer of academic institutions but also as a forward-thinking partner for higher education leaders navigating complex challenges.
The Strategy
BG engaged with the NECHE team, conducting discovery and insights conversations with key organizational leaders and accredited colleges. This process aimed to better understand the organization’s value before embarking on a brand development and identity creation process to accurately position NECHE within the industry.
The Result
BG developed a revitalized and memorable brand architecture and related assets. Additionally, our engagement with the organization expanded to help NECHE address the ongoing narrative around the financial crisis within the independent, private college world and NECHE’s important role in accreditation and review.
