The Opportunity
VHB, a global leader in transportation solutions, was selected for the MBTA Rail Vision project. Their charge was to develop cost-effective strategies aimed at the Greater Boston commuter rail transformation, enhancing mobility and supporting economic competitiveness. The project required extensive engagement with riders and public officials to gather insights informing transformative service alternatives.
The Strategy
To achieve these goals, VHB partnered with BG to conduct comprehensive community outreach and gather essential rider feedback. BG implemented a strategic approach utilizing both traditional and digital media tactics. This included creating an interactive quiz tailored for MBTA riders to assess their habits and preferences. Additionally, BG designed printed mailers to promote in-person Open Houses, strategically positioned to solicit further feedback directly from the community.
