Creating the Pathmaker Sub-Brand for the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center

The Opportunity

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC) wanted to expand its Pathmaker program. This initiative funds life sciences training that addresses key skills gaps and connects diverse workers with promising career paths across Massachusetts. To make a bigger impact, MLSC needed a strong sub-brand and a clear digital presence that would resonate with its audiences.

The Strategy

We started by designing a distinctive validation badge that would serve as the visual foundation of the new sub-brand.

Next, we created a short, 30-second video titled “What is Pathmaker?” This video uses simple storytelling to explain the program and highlight its benefits. Alongside the video, we developed three one-pagers tailored to different audience segments, making sure each group received the right information.

To bring everything together, we built an interactive landing page to act as a hub for Pathmaker’s resources and information. This page was integrated into MLSC’s website but given a unique look and feel. We also developed three sub-pages, each targeting specific audiences with deeper program details.

To help amplify Pathmaker’s message, we designed two easy-to-edit social media graphic templates and a full set of video assets. These included both static overlays and dynamic motion graphics to support a targeted digital campaign..

The Result

Our work helped Pathmaker reach a broader, more diverse audience. By combining clear messaging with engaging visuals, the program’s value became easier to understand and more visible.
